The Universal Audio 6176 combines two recording circuits: the 610B all-tube microphone preamplifier and the 1176LN FET compressor. Serial number 134, early factory-built.
The 610 preamp traces its heritage back to Bill Putnam Sr.'s original Universal Audio recording consoles. The 1176LN compressor is fast, punchy and incredibly versatile an is an industry standard. The two circuits can be used independently or as a channel strip.
