Melobar Lap Steel from the Smith era. Seems to be a transition model, as it has the German carve on the body and custom Kent Armstrong pickup with blades and was in German distribution with instruction tape and soft bag. All this refers to the later 1997 SLS model, but this one here has no S-headstock. Probably made between 1993-1997.
I'm the second owner for the past 15 years. Used it only for a couple of studio sessions, great for Country and Bluegrass, but also delivers great distorted tone for Rock. The instrument is in pristine like new condition, no signs of use at all, absolutely clean. The finish is very shiny, so there are light reflections in the pics.
Comes with the original TKL soft bag, instruction tape and printed 8-page instructions in German. I also add a new set Pyramid lap steel strings, as I don't play anymore
Studio clearance due to age and retiring.
