For sale is the iconic Ibanez TS10 Tube Screamer overdrive, Made in Japan, from the first series of 1986/87. The offered unit contains a JRC4558D chip from 1986, known for its excellent sound properties, and is equipped with the famous Mylar green foil capacitors, which are no longer found in later TS10 Made in Japan pieces (!). The pedal is in almost new condition, with only slight signs of use, all components are original and its function is flawless. The footswitch works perfectly, the potentiometers run smoothly and do not rattle, the knobs are not dented and their attachment is firm. The hinges of the cover are intact, the battery clip and its wires are like new, the power supply works with either a 9V battery (Varta Zinc-Carbon recommended) or a standard 9V adapter. There are only a few pieces in such condition.

This model defined Steve Ray Vaughan's modern blues sound, and is a key element of today's guitar hero John Mayer's pedalboard. It is also the perfect overdrive for "Dumble-style" tones. Compared to the TS9, the TS10 is known for its dynamic "glassy" character, the right size of the distortion "grain" and better preservation of bass frequencies at lower gain. Due to its sound qualities and the increasing rarity of pieces made in Japan, this pedal has also become an investment opportunity, similar to the Klon Kentaur, with a clear potential for further growth in its price for pieces in perfect condition...
