A unique bass, this 2011 American Deluxe Jazz Bass had its neck swapped out for a 2011 American Special Jazz Bass neck as well as the bridge which was upgraded with brass saddles for increased sustain per string. The bass shows some wear by the bridge and on the edges with another small nick on the back of the neck but is otherwise free of damage with superb playability. Booming yet articulate, this bass is a superb player with a wide range of tone thanks to the passive/active electronics that can go from classic Fender to modern hi-fi with the flick of a switch. The American Special Jazz bass neck provides a comfortable playing platform with a nicely shaped C carve which will feel comfortable to most players while the dual N3 noiseless pickups keep hum to a minimum. Controls consist of master volume, pickup blend, concentric tone control with treble EQ on top and bass EQ on the bottom, and the final concentric tone control which features midrange EQ on top and the bass' passive tone on the bottom for a bevy of tonal options. Weighing in at 9lb 10oz, this bass is nimble as they come and includes its original Fender gigbag.
