1950 Gibson L-50 – Sunburst

We present an original 1950 Gibson L-50 in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This 1950 Gibson L-50 is a beautiful vintage Gibson archtop from the golden era. It’s in excellent+ condition with minor playwear, nicks, and dings. It features an adjustable intonated bridge and trapeze tailpiece.

As is common with these models, the plastic tuner tips have shrunken, so they have been replaced with new Kluson cream tuner tips (only the white tips). Otherwise, the guitar is all original, with no breaks or repairs just like it left the Kalamazoo factory. The neck is straight, and the profile is the typical large, round early ’50s neck, which is not only comfortable but also great for tone and sustain.

This 1950 Gibson L-50 archtop features a solid carved spruce top and figured maple back and sides. The solid one-piece mahogany neck comes with trapezoidal fingerboard inlays. Beautiful bindings on the body and neck.

Comes with its original Gibson hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
