1966 Gibson ES-335 TD – Sunburst
We present an original 1966 Gibson ES-335 TD in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Condition
This Gibson ES-335 TD is in stunning condition with very few nicks, dings, or other cosmetic wear. It has beautiful finish checking throughout, giving it an amazing and highly desirable vintage look. No breaks or repairs. The one-piece mahogany neck features a profile unique to Gibson during this period, starting as a fairly slender C shape at the nut and quickly gaining both depth and shoulder into a fuller neck. The bound rosewood fretboard is straight and clean, featuring pearloid block inlays. All the chrome hardware is in excellent condition, including the trapeze tailpiece.
The original frets are in great condition with plenty of life left. The headstock shows minor nicks and dings and is fitted with the original Kluson Deluxe double-line/double-ring tuning machines, all of which turn smoothly.
Originality
This fantastic ’66 ES-335 is all original except for a newer handcrafted nut; the original nut is included in the case. Otherwise, it is just as it left the Kalamazoo factory in 1966. It features the two original “Patent Number” sticker humbuckers, which are well balanced and powerful. The orange oval Gibson label shows clean text and a serial number matching the stamped number on the back of the headstock. The bridge is the original chrome Tune-o-Matic. All original gold knobs are present, along with the original pickguard, switch tip, and pickup covers.
The pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and fully intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Includes its original hardshell case with black exterior and plush yellow/orange interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order. One extra latch is attached to the case so it can be locked tight.

Please note: The photos document exactly how the instrument looked — inside and out — on the day of purchase. Any modifications made after the sale will void both the warranty and the originality verification.
