The Yamaha G1D is a hexaphonic (divided) pickup and control unit designed to give your guitar access to MIDI guitar synthesis when paired with the Yamaha G50. With six individual sensors—one per string—the G1D captures precise performance data for accurate tracking and expressive control.

When properly installed and adjusted, the G1D can add high-performance MIDI guitar capability to nearly any electric or steel-string acoustic guitar, opening the door to synth tones, virtual instruments, and expanded sonic possibilities.
