Fano Alt de Facto GF6 — 2016 — 3-Tone Sunburst Relic

Dennis Fano's GF6 takes the short-lived Fender Starcaster (1975–1980) as its visual starting point, then rebuilds the concept from the ground up. The result is an offset, carved-top, center-block semi-hollow built entirely from solid wood — no pressed plywood — drawing from the tonal vocabulary of the ES-335 and the Epiphone Casino while looking like nothing else on a stage.

The semi-hollow construction and P90 pickups are a natural pairing. The center block keeps low-end bloom in check and suppresses feedback at volume, while the chambered body adds an openness and woody resonance a solidbody can't replicate. The Lindy Fralin P90s deliver exactly what you'd want from that platform — raw, punchy, and harmonically rich, with enough output to drive an amp hard and enough clarity to stay articulate on the way there. The Bigsby B5 adds subtle pitch movement with the kind of vintage feel that suits this guitar completely.

The wear on this guitar is almost entirely factory-applied. The heavy relic treatment — checking, exposed wood on the back and binding, bare wood neck profile — is all Fano's work. The guitar has seen minimal actual play and shows no meaningful wear beyond what left the shop in 2016.
