Recording functions work, belt still looks good
DBX is a great feature on this, as well as Pitch Control. Perfect for Nine Inch Nails style lofi ambient backing tracks?
Headphone monitoring section has faults, channel 4 panning doesn't work and spins freely, knobs missing and some tilting going on with the potentiometers. I didn't think this was a big fault as the headphone amp is low quality design. Best used with Tape Outs plugged into mixer
Note: There is a strange old electronics smell on this, I've had multiple Vestax units with the same problem, some material they used perhaps?
Great alternative to Tascam 4-track such as 244 / 414 / portastudio / 424

other than that, for a cassette deck the quality is very nice in my opinion!
