One of the rarest Artist. The “p” model has a circuitry that allows you to use phantom power to feed the active eq (of course also works with a 9V battery. This guitar is a master piece of Japanese craftsmanship (phantom power supply and original hardcase not included, thus the low price). The tuners may not be original to the guitar but seem to be Ibanez from the same time. Some dings and scratches here and there, see the pictures. The eq knobs also not original. All electronics work as they should, non original hardcase included.

It features body wings of ash (top and back) laminated with maple and zebra wood which are mated to a seven piece maple and walnut neck running the full length of the guitar. The neck has a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 88 humbucking pickups mounted in integrated plastic covers each controlled with a Tri-sound switch (coils in series, parallel, and single coil), a Tune-o-matic style Gibraltar bridge mounted in a sustain block recessed into the neck, a Gibraltar slotted tailpiece with scalloped "cloud" ornament, a bone and brass nut, rubberized Sure Grip control knobs and VelveTune machine heads.

The EQ Tone system consists of separate preamp gain and input attenuation controls paired with a 3-band active EQ with ±15 dB boost/cut for bass, middle and treble. A toggle allows the EQ system to be deactivated. The system can be powered with either a 9V battery or a phantom power supply, which was included with the 2700P variant.
