Fernando Paizinho 8-String Mandolin

Fernando Paizinho

In recent years, luthier Fernando Paizinho has gained prominence among Brazilian musicians. He is part of a select group of the new generation of South American luthiers. Considered Brazil's most versatile luthier, he skillfully demonstrates his techniques in the construction of classical guitars, steel-string guitars, flamenco guitars, and especially popular Brazilian instruments such as mandolins.

The Mandolin

In this instrument, the luthier displays his admiration for the father of guitars, Antonio de Torres, creating marquetry and fillets inspired by the Spaniard's FE 18 model.
