OM is the result of Cindy Cindy Blackman-Santana's liaison to achieve the sounds she was looking for, more of an out-and-out classic power-jazz set, a nod towards her great mentor, Tony Williams who was no light hitter. So the OM had to be compelling, capable of withstanding a good thrashing, capturing the vibier, more dynamic cymbal sounds from the golden era of Jazz.
