Made in Japan as part of the Fender Boxer Series of the mid 1980's, this was an "Order Made" version of the ST314 HSS Stratocaster that was ordered and built to a customer's exact specs by the Fujigen equivalent of the Fender Custom Shop. With a 628mm scale length and medium-jumbo frets, it was designed to bridge the gap between Stratocaster and Les Paul to give Gibson tones and feel from a Fender body.
Basswood body with a non-catalog Candy Apple Red finish bolted to a maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (12" radius), it weighs 3.4kg's. Loaded with Fender Japan HSS pickups (2x ST-Current single coils and a Dragster humbucker) controlled by master volume/tone controls and a 5-way selector.
Good overall used condition as pictured with basic wear and tear from general use but no breaks or repairs. The neck is straight and the truss works as it should, the frets are shiny with plenty of life left.
