Favilla Brothers 000 concert 1915-1925

A rather rare early 20th century example from the Favilla Brothers, NYC. Presumably a custom order made in their Little Italy workshop between 1900 and 1930.
Under my stewardship it has been refretted, neck reset and bridge saddle by the capable hands at Fairbuilt Guitars in Virginia. Thanks to it's original construction with steel string type tuners, I made the minimally obtrusive modification of adding a Busato type tailpiece from Maurice DuPont and it currently strung with light gauge Savarez Agentine loop end strings.
The back, sides and neck in N. American flamed maple, ebony fingerboard and fan-braced spruce soundboard. This is an incredibly light, well balanced and easy to play example from an obsure corner of Americas early guitar history.
