This 1950s ES-125 has a stringly faded color that adds to its charm. Featuring a classic non-cutway 16-inch wide body and a single pickup configuration, it delivers a mellow, sweet tone that vintage enthusiasts will appreciate. The neck has undergone a repair for a break, but it has been expertly restored and blends seamlessly with the overall vibe of the instrument, playing smoothly without any issues. The body sides show significant paint wear, which speaks to its long history of use and gives it a rich, worn- in character-perfect for those who appreciate vintage aesthetics.
While the original pickup has unfortunately been replaced, the current P-90 pickup with a metal cover, likely from a later Epiphone Casino, offers a warm, vintage sound that complements the guitar’s overall tone. Other replaced parts include the frets, pickguard, bridge saddle, tuning pegs, some wear parts, electrical components, and a missing knob.
This guitar offers excellent tone whenever plugged in or played acoustically, with a rich, sweet, and warm sound that’s sure to impress players who aren’t concerned about repair history. We highly recommend stopping by the shop to experience its sound in person. The guitar comes with the gig case shown in the photos.
