Introducing the 'Memory Flanger'...
This product is based on the original classic ‘Electric Mistress’ pedal. The pedal features many of the same features as the Memory Driver so has 3 programmable memories that can be instantly recalled using the Select Footswitch.
There are 3 pots on the Memory Flanger. These control the familiar Speed, Depth & “Color” features of the ‘Electric Mistress’ pedal.
The signal chain is completely analogue, with digital control of the key parameters. These parameters can be saved to any of the 3 onboard memories, & instantly recalled using the selector footswitch.
The current patch is identified by the colour of the LED strip that shines through the Dex Tech logo.
The Memory Range Explained
The Memory Range of products is classic guitar Stomp Boxes, employing a completely analogue signal path & True Bypass. The pedals differ from other offerings on the market in that they are digitally controlled. This allows each pedal to hold many "memories" (or patches) of sounds that have been lovingly created by the user. The pedals look like classic stomp boxes (no menus to fathom). There are simply 3 or 4 familiar "pots" along with the True Bypass switch & a "patch" select switch.
The current patch is indicated by the colour of an LED strip that shines through the "Dex Tech" logo. All of our Memory products have a similar design, & are designed to be easy to use. After adjusting the sound, it can be stored in any of the 3 memory locations. To do this you hold the SELECT button down, & the display will begin to flash. Whilst the display is flashing you can select any one of the patch locations to store your new sound (Red, Green or Blue). Once you have selected the required memory location, you hold the SELECT button down to store the patch in that particular location. If you cycle around to the original patch location, the sound will revert to the original patch.
Having memories on the units means that the pots might not point to the actual sound setting of the patch. To make the pots point to the current parameter location, you simply turn the pot until the display flashes. At this point, you know that the pot is aligned with the particular parameter setting. As you then change the parameter, the display flashes to indicate that the parameter is being changed in the patch.
All pedals have a 3rd jack input along with the input & output jacks. This 3rd input is used as a control input. This often is marked "TAP" to indicate a connection to a footswitch that can be used to control the rate of a parameter (such as signal delay, or LFO speed). On the Memory Boost pedal, this input works as a Volume or Swell pedal input.
Being digitally controlled also allows the pedals to talk to each other via a Wireless MIDI option.
The Memory Range of guitar pedals are assembled in the UK at the Dex Audio facility.
