Preston Thompson Guitars are known for their direct, responsive sound, each one a tribute to the legendary American instruments of the 1930s. Master builder Preston Thompson and his small team of highly talented guitar makers craft custom acoustic guitars that capture the look, feel, and above all, the sound of the very best instruments from that golden era. Thompson guitars are lightweight, sturdy, and built using traditional construction methods.

Thompson's Dreadnought models, like this one, are crafted to produce the tone and volume for which the dreadnought guitar was originally designed. These are powerful instruments capable of matching the volume of a mandolin, violin, or banjo when needed. They offer the bass response that provides an almost full orchestral backdrop for vocals. Their midrange and clear high tones elevate flatpicking and lead playing to new heights.

This Dreadnought features an Adirondack spruce top in a beautiful sunburst finish combined with a stunning Indian rosewood body, adorned with ivoroid binding, tortoise pickguard, and herringbone purfling. A perfect companion for singers, yet this guitar will surely inspire flat or fingerpickers as well. Includes a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
