This is the 1938 Martin Handcraft Committee II Alto Saxophone. This horn is best suited for intermediate/professional level players. It features a stunning lion engraving and crown on the bell. This shows the genesis of one of these horn's nicknames "The Martin Lion and Crown model". This particular Alto Saxophone is 82 years old! The Handcraft Committee II has nickel-silver keywork and is known to have lots of edge and fantastic intonation. Overall, they are very well-built horns. This horn is in fair, used condition with most of the lacquer worn off, minor dents on the neck and body of the horn and other marks as pictured above.
