Cheetah MD16 Drum Machine with Electro sound cartridge - Very Good

Selling my Cheetah MD16, bought new in 1991. I’m the original owner, and the unit has only ever been used in my studio and kept in dry storage.

Condition

• Fully working.
• The battery that backs up the pattern memory has been replaced recently. The old battery never leaked, so the PCB is clean.
• The casing has minor paint scratches, which have been touched up. Cheetah’s paint is very fragile and tends to scratch easily on the corners.
• Pad 14 is slightly less sensitive than the others and needs a little more force to trigger, so very soft hits may occasionally not register. Once triggered, it responds normally and velocity is mapped correctly. It has been like this since new, so it is most likely a factory calibration quirk. It doesn’t affect normal playing.
