Designed for professional mixing and mastering applications, the SMC 2B divides the audio signal into three frequency bands, each with independent Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, and Gain controls. Adjustable crossover frequencies allow precise control over the Low, Mid, and High bands, making it possible to shape dynamics without compromising the natural balance of the original signal.

The SMC 2B combines the warmth and character of tube circuitry with the smooth, transparent response of optical compression. Its versatile design makes it equally suitable for subtle mix bus processing, mastering, drum buses, instrument groups, and individual tracks. From gentle dynamic refinement to more pronounced tonal shaping, the SMC 2B delivers exceptional control while maintaining musicality and clarity.
