The OC-2 is a true classic among analog octave pedals, generating two additional signals—one octave and two octaves below the played note—with three independent controls: OCT 1, OCT 2 and Direct Level. Its monophonic analog circuit gives it a particularly warm, thick and organic sound, highly appreciated by bass players for creating a massive, almost synth-like low end, but also by guitarists looking to thicken riffs or achieve bass-like tones. Its tracking works best with single notes and clean playing, like many analog octave pedals from this era, so it is not designed for playing chords. This slightly imperfect yet highly musical character is precisely what made the OC-2 so popular and turned it into a pedalboard classic.
