Selling my 1989 Strat made in USA at the Corona plant.

This is the very first generation of AVRI '62 with specs done faithfully including: alder body, full nitro finish, maple C neck, slab rosewood board with 7.25" radius, 21 frets, spaghetti logo, vintage tuners, 6-screw synchronized tremolo, 3-ply mint green pickguard. This is the '62 real deal in a guitar you can actually play, not a watered down later reissue...

Everything is original with one single mod in more than 30 years, the bridge pickup swapped for a Seymour Duncan SSL-1 for warmth and a better balance with the neck and middle. The original pickups are still in place in neck and middle.

What it sounds like:

• Real Fender chime, glassy on the neck, snappy on the bridge without harshness
• Positions 2 and 4 are gorgeous, that beloved quack
• Huge resonance through the body, you can hear the well dried out 37 years old alder come to life

Condition: very good for its age. It has been played and loved, and it shows. All wear is a 100% natural relic from playing, nothing artificial: nitro worn through to the wood on the lower bout and on the back (buckle rash), checking, yellowed lacquer and a few small dings. Beautifully patinated neck. Frets have a ton of life in them, spot on setup done by luthier with proprer bridge setup and actually holds tuning when using the bar!
