Here is a true British classic. This is a Sound City 50 Plus Mark 4 (L50) amplifier head, manufactured by Dallas Arbiter. We believe this is a 1970 model. The amplifier is in excellent condition and completely original. An exceptionally rare find.

It has been used in a recording studio for the last 8 years. The capacitors have been replaced to ensure reliable operation for many years to come, without the need for servicing in the near future. It has been tested - and it sounds absolutely incredible.

Sound City 50 Plus is a British 50-watt tube amplifier produced during the 1970s. It was designed by Dave Reeves, founder of Hiwatt, and manufactured by Dallas Arbiter. The amplifier is known for its high-quality components, including Partridge transformer. It delivers a clean, loud and versatile tone, often compared to Hiwatt, but with an earlier and more aggressive breakup.

Circuitry: Point-to-point construction with active, high-sensitivity tone controls - Bass, Middle and Treble - for each channel, providing extensive tone-shaping capabilities.

Inputs: Four inputs - Normal and Brilliant channels. They can be mixed or bridged to achieve different tonal variations.

Tubes: The power amp section uses EL34 output tubes.
