For sale: a legendary effect unit in very good condition, lightly used. The Raster is a digital delay featuring pitch and frequency shifting integrated into the feedback loop. Forward or reverse delay repeats can be shifted once or set to shift continuously. It offers a wide range of sounds, including modulated and harmonized delays, reverse delays, chorus effects, arpeggios, infinite descents, chaotic self-oscillation, and constantly evolving soundscapes.At the heart of the Raster is a pristine delay with up to 1600 milliseconds of delay time. Three delay ranges allow you to precisely dial in resonant feedback sounds and instantly alter delay times via rhythmic shifts. The feedback control offers infinite repeats when set to the 3 o'clock position, and chaotic, textured feedback loops at higher levels. The tone control sweeps from dark, analog-style repeats to digital clarity, accentuating the attack at higher settings. The two delay channels can be configured in series, parallel, or ping-pong modes. Pitch shifting repeats up or down in semitone steps, creating tempo-synced arpeggios and organ-like tones. A detune setting allows for micro-pitch shifting and chorused repeats. The left and right channels can be shifted by the same amount, by a ratio, or in opposite directions. At subtle settings, the repeats evolve in a way that sounds natural yet distinct from analog delay effects. The Raster’s modulation section features seven waveforms that can be assigned to delay time, pitch shift, or effect level (for tremolo). Two random waveforms are available for pitch-glitching jumps, wow, flutter, and broken-tape effects. Envelope and inverted envelope modes enable dynamic flanging and pitch-bending delay. Stereo controls adjust the modulation level and inter-channel phase, ranging from subtle shifts to swirling, psychedelic undulations.
