This cover has a 1.25" x 8.5" handle opening on top that's 4.625" from the back edge.

As always all our products are made with tough Water Resistant 1000 Denier Nylon Canvas on the outside and thick quilted padding on the inside to cushion and protect your gear.

We use a polyester fiber fill which is quilted (sewn) to soft yet tough black 1000 Denier Nylon lining (guaranteed not to bleed color). We have not seen any deterioration in the padding since we started making covers in 1992, unlike foam padding which can disintegrate over time. The padding is approximately 3/8" thick (about 1 cm). The padding feels more like a soft, glorified moving blanket and folds up easily to store away.

The Padded Slip Cover fits like a glove, with heavily reinforced handle openings and a sewn in handle flap to protect underneath the handle. These openings will never fray or come apart like the more commonly bound openings.
