Evans Echo Chorus ES 1 1970s - Black

Bought on december 2025 from another seller on reverb , I have not tried it , because I have another smaller tape delay and I have not enough space for this.

original anouncement: Evans Super Echo ES-1 Tape Echo features 1 record head, 1 erase head and 2 playback heads.With the "mode controller" one can vary the distance between the heads. Offers variable delay times via the sliding head and settings for swell, echo and repeat. Has controls for Feedback, Volume and delay Tone and a Footswitch jack. It's sounds great with guitar, synth, vocal or as a mix send. The Vocal Amp output carries the wet signal. It uses a long endless tape loop.

Completely overhauled !

All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced for quality Panasonic 105 degree

types.

The potmeters have been washcleaned and airblown dried with an air compressor and are scratchfree.

The heads have been polished, cleaned and demagnetised and shines like new.

The slider mechanism has been lubricated and slides smooth.

The pinchroller has been cleaned and the hole of of the roller has been oiled.

BEWARE ! I put a littl wooden block on between the arm and some iron so that the pinchroller is off the capstan of the motor !

This way there will no bump in the roller when the unit is not used for a while AND the tapeloop will not get sticky on the silicon of the pinchroller.

The guidance ballbearing has been cleaned and lubricated.

New tapeloop on the unit and 3 new tapeloops extra !
