Vintage Design M87D Swedish Class-A Transformer Mic Preamp – 80dB Gain – Excellent

Vintage Design M87D, designed and built in Sweden. Rare discontinued single-channel Class-A microphone/instrument preamp with transformer-balanced output.

Up to 80 dB of gain, making it suitable for low-output dynamics and ribbons as well as condenser microphones. Features switchable 300/1200 Ω microphone impedance, +30 dB gain boost, 48 V phantom power, polarity reverse, AIR high-frequency enhancement, Hi-Z instrument input and independent output level.

The M87D uses the same Class-A output stage and transformer design found in Vintage Design's larger studio preamps, while its input stage was designed for a somewhat more open/modern response than the M73D.

Excellent cosmetic and operating condition. All switches, pots, inputs and outputs have been tested and work correctly.

Made in Sweden – discontinued and increasingly difficult to find.
