This is a hand-built Nobelium Preamp, a faithful clone of the legendary Noble tube preamp/DI, built using the PCB from Conspiracy to Commit Electronics (C2C / SushiBox).

The Nobelium is a low-noise, studio-grade clean tube preamp and DI with a wide, musical frequency response that works beautifully for bass or guitar. The EQ is boost-only (Bass / Treble), so the preamp is effectively flat with all controls off, and it includes a switchable high-pass filter to tame low-end rumble when needed.

For the DI section, this build uses a C2C / SushiBox Unagi transformer, delivering a full, authoritative transformer-coupled XLR output with a ground-lift switch. The DI level can be adjusted internally via the blue trim-pot.

⚠️ Important: This is a high-voltage tube device. Do not open the enclosure while powered. The only user-adjustable control inside is the DI level trim-pot, which should be adjusted only when the unit is powered off and unplugged.
