Up for sale is this Supa Twister, my clone of the Marshall Supa Fuzz, itself a variant of the Tonebender MK2 professional. The pedal is built on veroboard with 3 original Mullard OC81 transistors and vintage carbon composite resistors throughout. The graphics are applied with dry transfer letraset with a nitrocellulose clear protective coat.

The Marshall Supa Fuzz (officially designated as the Model 1975) was a legendary vintage guitar effects pedal produced during the late 1960s and 1970s. It represents the iconic British amplification company Marshall's official entry into the defining "woolly" and saturated fuzz movement of classic rock.

Despite sharing a layout with the Tone Bender MKII, the Supa Fuzz has a few distinct component tweaks:

  • Darker, Bassier Tone: It utilizes larger input and bypass capacitors (10µF compared to the Tone Bender's 5µF). This allows more low-end frequencies to pass through, creating a thicker, heavier, and more "compressed" bottom-end growl.
  • Rich Saturated Sustain: When cranked up, it delivers massive, violin-like sustain and rich upper harmonics.
  • Dynamic Response: It is highly responsive to a guitar's volume knob. Rolling back the volume cleans up the signal into a gritty rhythmic crunch.
