1914 Gibson f2 mandolin, serial numer 18950, in a very good condition for a 112 years old instrument. Straight neck, good angle, low action, woody, balanced and powerfull sound. Original pickguard.

There was a crack on the position of the headstock, it was reglued professionally. When the previous owner bought the mandolin in 2006, he was told that the repair took place in 1976 (however, that can not be verified). See pictures.

The tuning pegs were replaced by the previous owner. It is not exactly clear why, because the original pegs (are included) look OK. The new pegs work smoothly, but turn in opposite direction (takes a week to get used to it).

Original hardshell case, the leather handle has been repaired recently
