SAITO GUITARS began its career as an independent repair workshop in 1991. Leveraging experience gained through numerous repair jobs, it crafted its first archtop guitar in 2014.

The SAYTONE pickups, hand-wound pickups launched for production and sale in 2011, have earned high acclaim.

They became standard equipment on the first solid-body guitars produced in 2015, the “S-Series.” Word spread quickly, and their high level of craftsmanship, used by professional artists, is widely recognized.

Now, SAITO GUITARS presents a new flagship model!

Its name: S-622BEYOND. This supreme instrument surpasses everything SAITO GUITARS has produced before, achieving a new leap forward.

This time, a Hard Rock Maple Top model has arrived.

As mentioned, the specs feature a maple top and mahogany back. As you can see, it's a semi-hollow body.

The maple wood boasts a rich grain pattern, and its appearance dramatically changes depending on the angle, adding to its charm.

Compared to the spruce top model, it has a slightly more rock-oriented look. Of course, it's also perfectly suited for jazz, making it an incredibly versatile instrument.

The mahogany back is luxuriously crafted from a single piece of rare Honduran mahogany! Being carved from a solid piece, its resonance is outstanding.

The hollow structure is machined using proprietary techniques, with the top wood also carved.

This achieves a resonance akin to a full hollow body, delivering a sound with tremendous depth and character.

The ebony fingerboard enables sweet, rich tones while delivering clear articulation.

Rarely seen on an ST-type, this archtop design draws on our extensive experience crafting archtops since the early days of guitar making.

This design aims for lightweight construction, and indeed, the S Series often achieves a light weight.

Being hollow-body, this model is even lighter, weighing under 3kg despite using the heavier woods maple and Honduran mahogany.

The finish is a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The rich, open resonance unique to lacquer remains an irreplaceable charm.

The fingerboard extending toward the headstock on the 1st string side is a playful touch. This uncommon specification makes a statement while also contributing to neck strength.

The fingerboard shape and bonding, achieved through a proprietary method, create an exceptionally strong and stable neck.

A strong neck directly translates to superior response and sound, making this aspect truly outstanding.

Luminlay is installed at the side positions, ensuring excellent visibility.

Pickups are practically synonymous with SAITO GUITARS. The pickups on this model, in particular, can only be described as superb.

It features the SAYTONE pickup, a hand-wound pickup made in-house. While modern machinery allows for mass-produced pickups,

returning to the roots of hand-winding yields the best possible tone for a guitar.

This model features the “Sladge 58C” pickup, previously only available on the extremely limited Portrait Line.

The Portrait Line's outstanding reputation and rapid sell-out are testament to the excellence of this pickup.

It features coil tap functionality, activated via the tone pot's Push/Push switch.
