Introduced in 1960, the Jazz Bass quickly established itself as a benchmark on the market. This one takes its cues from the ’70s design, featuring white block inlays (which have nicely aged and were refinished along with the fingerboard by luthier Jean-Baptiste Prodhomme) on a 7.25-inch radius maple fingerboard, complemented by binding along the maple neck. The body is made of ash and is joined to the neck with a four-bolt neck plate. This Jazz Bass is a Yamano model, intended for the Japanese distributor, who—according to legend—was known for selecting instruments more rigorously. Dating from 1995, it also comes from the highly regarded John Page era. Sold without its COA (a replacement can be requested from Fender), in its original case.
