The Limited Edition 1959 Stratocaster HSS Relic is a one-of-a-kind instrument from the Fender Custom Shop. The alder body is finished in Daphne Blue Metallic and has a Relic finish with authentic-looking faux-patina elements in the form of small scuffs, scratches and scars, giving the guitar the look of an instrument that has been played and flamboyantly blazed around clubs and bars for years. The neck is made of AA-quality flamed maple and is fitted with a AAA-quality rosewood fingerboard with twenty-one Narrow Tall (6105) frets.
Two hand-wound Strat Fat 60s single-coil pickups with larger wire winding and a Seymour Duncan SH-1 humbucker bridge offer both the warm Strat single-coil sound and feel with a more pronounced bass response, as well as the vintage sound of PAF humbuckers from the late 50s. You can adjust the sound character using the standard controls. The strings are set in the company's vintage-style tuners and classic synchronized Strat tremolo.
The guitar comes in a case along with a certificate of authenticity.
