Wery old violin
This is what I was lucky to find out about it. sounds good, just setup with new strings.
Rushworth & Dreaper, were musical instrument retailers based in Liverpool. They sold instruments bearing the ‘Apollo’ brand, and in the 1920s used this label on high quality violins made in Czechoslovakia and Germany. They also made violins in their Liverpool workshops. These are excellent instruments and were labelled ‘Arderton’.
They continued to use the ‘Apollo’ brand right up to the 1990s, but the quality of the later instruments was not very good. 1920s violins are excellent.
