The Friedman IR-X pedal combines a 2-channel tube preamp/amp in a box with an IR loader. The IR-X's speciality is classic Plexi or Hot Rodded BE style sounds. Each of the two channels has an individual boost function as well as switchable IR speaker/power amp simulations. The two 12AX-7 tubes are operated with high voltage, just like a classic amp. Also on board is an effects loop, MIDI, USB and a headphone output with speaker simulation. Editor software, developed by Synergy, is available for download. The ideal recording tool or DI preamp.
