This is a 1985 Mad Cat guitar recreated by Bill Lawrence, most famous for his pickup designs. The Mad Cat is a version of the very famous design that Prince played throughout his career. The original guitar is incredibly rare, and so are these 1980s variants. The guitar is authentic to the original design with an ash body core topped with birdseye maple and a walnut center strip. The signature leopard print pickguard and bridge pickup mount are there, along with a birdseye maple neck and six-saddle bridge. The guitar plays wonderfully - it has light scratches and dings throughout the body and some oxidation on the pickups and hardware. The finish on the fretboard has some chipping as well. This guitar includes a leather gigbag.
