The Tubedrve 19″ utilises 2 pentode tubes per unit.The 6AS6 vacuum tube can be switched from pentode to triode operation. Triode mode provides a smoother type of overdrive with more ‘even harmonics’. Pentode mode provides an aggressive distortion with more ‘odd harmonics’.
Tubedrve 19″ has an analog stereo filter which allows the user to only distort the high or low frequencies, among other operation modes. The unit provides parallel operation and two meters to indicate the distortion level. Controls are stepped and matched for stereo use. Bias controls are on rotary switches to minimise stereo drift.
