Joel Korte's design for ZVEX recreates the sound of their classic Lo-Fi Loop Junky in real time, minus the looper. It blends THAT chip compression, bucket-brigade delay chips, and low-current op-amp filtering into one control that sweeps from sparkly compressed clean tone through lush chorus into warped, warbling vibrato — old tape and vinyl territory, but fully controllable. Same circuit as the standard horizontal model, just in the vertical chassis for a smaller footprint on your board.
Great pedal if you want modulation with actual character: dial in a subtle chorus for clean parts, or push it toward full lo-fi vibrato for something closer to a broken tape machine.
