This listing is for a vintage 1967 Ludwig model # 1026-1 "Timpani" drum throne.
In the 1967 Ludwig catalog, the Ludwig factory offered this throne with a burgundy-colored vinyl top. In my pictures, it looks red, but it's actually a bright, burgundy color.
The tripod base is beautifully chrome plated and it only has a minor amount of surface rusting on it. New rubber feet have been installed on the individual tripod legs.
The triangle-shaped plate located on the underside of the seat top has been cleaned and polished and the metal rod that sticks out of it has been smoothed and polished so that it will slide easily in and out of the hollow upper tube of the tripod base.
The factory original burgundy colored vinyl seat top does have a few small tears in the leatherett material.
