Steve’s Notes: Another little fun poster image here wth a 30s vibe. Couldn’t resist, especially since Slingerland was so critical to the design of the modern drum set in the 1930s, along with Gene Krupa, a life-long Slingerland artist. Gene wanted toms that had tunable top AND bottom heads, and also wanted the 9x13 and 16x16 tom sizes. Slingerland developed that with Gene, and they created what is still the core of the modern day drum set. Almost 100 years ago! 

Here is a brand new Slingerland Radio King drum set - 14x22", 9x13", and 16x16" with a matching 6.5x14" snare drum - this set is a unique prototype outfit with a natural satin ribbon mahogany finish. Along with the great understated look, these shells are unrestrained by wrap or paint and breathe nice and warm.

Steve's Other Notes: One-of-a-kind. This is a really cool set. It is a prototype for a new finish that was being evaluated. The look of this finish is very much like ribbon mahogany. Nice, natural warmth to the color, and nice natural warmth to the sound of those great 3 ply mahogany/poplar/mahogany shells. Love this one. And, it’s unique!
