A dark brown huge over an elegant orange-yellow top coat varnish lightly antiqued one piece top with fine medium grain. A two piece slab of fine figured maple; with matching sides neck and delicately carved scroll. Ebony fingerboard, nut and saddle. Boxwood; chin-rest, end button, tailpiece and pegs with white trim. Single 'E' fine tuner.
Plays smoothly on all positions and on every string. Newly set up with Larsen's 'Il Cannone Soloist Warm & Broad A'
The G and D are warm and rich while the A and E are soaring and silvery bright with a bit of a bite to dig in on overly passionately pieces.
