Extremely rare Sonor Signature African Bubinga Heavy HLFT 18 floor tom from the mid-1980s.

The Signature series represented the absolute top level of Sonor production during the 1980s. The Heavy series features massive 12-ply beech shells with genuine African Bubinga veneer on both the exterior and interior.

The 18" x 19" floor tom is one of the hardest Signature Bubinga Heavy sizes to find, particularly as an individual drum. A highly desirable addition for anyone looking to expand or complete an original Signature kit.

The drum has received a full professional service by Vintage Drums Norway. It has been completely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. All hardware has been inspected, polished, lubricated and adjusted.

A new Remo Powerstroke Clear batter head has been fitted.

Technically, the drum is in excellent working condition. Cosmetically, it is very well preserved for its age, with minor signs of use and some age-related wear to the hardware. Please study the photos carefully for condition.

The last HLFT 18 we sold went to a Sonor endorser in the UK and was later displayed at the UK Drum Show. That gives some indication of how rarely these floor toms become available separately.
