1970 Fender Mustang "Competition Red" – Racing Stripes, All-Original

Fender's Shelby-inspired Competition series: this 1970 Mustang wears its Competition Red finish with the classic racing stripe and matching headstock, a detail only found on the earliest Competition-run guitars before Fender switched to plain headstocks later that year. Presented here in outstanding, all-original condition exactly as photographed, complete with its original hardshell case and full period accessories: a true time capsule for any vintage Fender collector!

If tweaking action, intonation, etc. or having the instrument set up to your specs is not something you are comfortable with doing yourself, you will need the help of a local-to-you tech/ professional. Note that any associated fees incurred for their time and labor will be your responsibility.
The item you receive will function as written in the description, include all the parts/accessories as written in the description, and will be the same item that is photographed.

Because I deal with many vintage instruments, there can always be a chance that the playability and cosmetic condition are not exactly what you were hoping for: it is your responsibility to contact me with any questions or concerns before purchasing.

Most of my items have an inspection sheet included with the photos. If I made an error in my description and you are not satisfied with the item, then contact me within 48 hours of receipt and get it back to me 7 days after receipt. You will have to pay for return shipping. If the item is in the same condition that I shipped it in, I will grant you a full refund of the original purchase price only.
