Mullard Blackburn 12AX7A 12AX7 ECC83 Tube, NOS, Tested
This tube has gray plates and a halo getter. It was made in the late 1960's at the Mullard Blackburn factory in Great Britain.
This tube was tested on my calibrated TV-7/U tube tester. It has been tested for shorts, gas, and transconductance. The tube tests with readings of 50/52. Minimum is 32.
It has been sonically tested in my homebuilt pre-amp and is dead quiet with no microphonics.
Tubes are described, tested, and presented to the best of my ability, subject to the limitations of the equipment that I have available (Hickok 539C and several TV-7’s). Test results are likely to vary some between your equipment and mine due to the imprecise nature of 60-year-old consumer-grade test equipment.
