4x1 PARALLEL BLOCK - Guitar Amp Speaker Selector / Combiner - Black, Custom - Made to Order, Series Version Available
Made to order 4x1 PARALLEL BLOCK - Guitar Amp Speaker Selector / Combiner
Handcrafted speaker switching solution for guitar amplifiers
The Parallel Block gives you six speaker configurations in one compact, roadworthy enclosure:
- Position 1: Speaker cabinet 1 alone
- Position 2: Speaker cabinet 2 alone
- Position 3: Speaker cabinet 3 alone
- Position 4: Speaker cabinet 4 alone
- Toggle 1/2 PARALLEL: Speakers 1 & 2 in parallel (works with rotary on position 1 or 2)
- Toggle 3/4 PARALLEL: Speakers 3 & 4 in parallel (works with rotary on position 3 or 4)
Why use multiple speakers:
- More presence and coverage - fill the room with sound
- Flexible positioning - stack them, place side by side, or spread across the room
- Quick switching - change speakers between songs or compare cabinet tones
- Greater flexibility - choose the right setup for each venue or recording situation
Why Parallel:
- Decrease total impedance - two 16Ω cabs = 8Ω, perfect for amps rated at 8Ω
- More power output - lower impedance draws more power from your amp
- Fuller, louder sound - drive two cabinets simultaneously
- Versatile pairing options - mix and match different speaker types for unique tones
Specifications:
- Heavy-duty professional rotary selector switch
- Two independent DPST toggle switches for parallel operation
- Professional 1/4" speaker jacks
- Continuous dummy load protection for tube amp safety
- Supports amplifiers up to 150 watts RMS
- Durable textured finish enclosure
- Clear position labeling - ISOLATED / PARALLEL modes
Parallel Impedance Examples:
- 16Ω + 16Ω = 8Ω total
- 8Ω + 8Ω = 4Ω total
- 4Ω + 4Ω = 2Ω total
Made to Order: Each Parallel Block is hand-built to order with quality components. Custom configurations available - contact me for:
- Different configurations (series, series/parallel combinations)
- Multi-speaker setups (1x3, 1x6, etc.)
- Custom enclosure colors/finishes
- Specific impedance requirements
Perfect for:
- Players with multiple cabinets needing quick A/B comparison
- Studio applications requiring different speaker combinations
- Live performers wanting maximum coverage and volume
- Anyone seeking tonal flexibility and room-filling sound
- Matching cabinet impedance to amp requirements
IMPORTANT - Speaker Impedance Safety: ⚠️ Always match your amplifier's rated impedance to the total load. Using parallel operation decreases the total impedance - ensure your amp is rated to safely drive the lower impedance. Most tube and solid-state amps have a minimum impedance rating (commonly 4Ω or 2Ω) - never go below this rating. When in doubt, consult your amplifier manual or a qualified technician.
