Update, per a fellow Reverber -- thanks! -- details:
"Hello Jake, the position marks at 5-7-9 were changed to 5-7-10 in 1920. That, along with the boxy bridge and hand-shaped fingerboard end place this uke in the late teens. It did have wooden pegs originally. Cheers, Eric in Boise"

Overview: You can't knock Martin ukes! They do a thing -- velvet and smooth and warm and sweet tone -- very well, and keep on doing it. This Style 1 (with rosewood binding) is probably a teens affair and would have had wood friction pegs on it when made. It's been played-in and has a great, lived-in look about it. You know they're going to sound good when you see the amount of joy the instrument gave its last owner. Per the usual, the build quality is excellent and the cut and feel of the neck is well-thought-out.
Repairs included: Jose leveled/dressed the frets, cleaned it up a bit, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: There's a ton of playwear/picking wear at the upper-bout top. There are other small scuffs, scratches, etc. here and there throughout. The outer edge of rosewood binding is missing for a small area at the lower-bout-top (pictured). The tuners are non-original. Because the saddle is lightly-shaved, it's a bright maple color (these earlier Martin ukes used stained maple saddles -- neat, huh?) instead of ebony-colored.
It comes with: It has a gigbag.
