Here is a rare find. In the 1970s American luthier S.D. Curlee teamed up with Hoshino Gakki factory to build the well respected Salvarez Special Series model double cutaway guitar with Harmony and Hondo. These guitars were exlusive to Japan and not made in the Samick factory. These a long tenon, semi neck-thru rock monster. DiMarzio Super Distortion humbucker in the bridge and DiMarzio single coil in the neck position. This one only needs tuners and a nut (originally brass). It's extremely well made from choice woods. Maple neck and fretboard. Trussed. Brass saddles. There are a few scuffs on the body but nothing serious.
SD Curlee was an American guitar company that produced top quality guitars between 1976 and 1982. S.D. Curlee mainly produced a variety of
basses, but they also produced very few guitars. They made around 3000 guitars in the time they where in business, making their guitars quite rare. Their instruments were over popular in the US and Western Europe because of their high quality standards and innovative ideas.
