Joaquin Garcia Fernandez was born in Argentina as the son of spanish immigrants in 1929. His family later returned to their homeland in Spain, where he began working as a cabinet maker. He then left Spain again and returned to Argentina in 1949. Returned to Argentina he was then trained as a luthier and he then continued to work as a luthier after returning to Spain again later.

This guitar was built by Joaquin in 1975 and it is something you do not get to see everyday. The instrument has a double back construction & between the top and the sides a gap was constructed.

The instrument was professionally restored by our luthiers and is now in great playing condition & with the patina and wear of a well played guitar from 1975.

We have never had something like this in our workshop before so if you are looking for something rare, unusual but still great sounding, this might be your guitar!
