Ever wanted an awesome Florida Link with impressive versatility, response, and incredible tone but turned off by the outrageous vintage prices? That’s what this piece is - an awesome Link-type player with a great facing at an affordable price.
This is a Morgan 8* which is a .105” in their numbering system. .105” is one of the most popular tip openings for mouthpieces made in this style. This is the MLL chamber which Morgan now refers to as their “Florida” model.
The piece is in good cosmetic condition but excellent playing condition. Some light oxidation, ligature makes, and scuffs but nothing that affects playability. Reed seal is excellent and response is superb.
This piece is not signed by Erik Griffenhagen or any of the other mouthpiece finishers/refacers Morgan has used so I believe this older piece was finished by Ralph Morgan himself.
