This Orpheum No. 1, featuring a 5-string banjo neck added by Karsten Schnoor, is an ideal instrument for classic banjo and various old-time styles.
The 12" pot comes from a 1920s Orpheum tenor banjo. The serial number on the dowel stick is 10700. It is strung with natural skin that shows some discoloration. The beautifully crafted neck was made in 2013 by Hamburg-based banjo builder Karsten Schnoor. Stunning inlays and period-appropriate bird’s-eye maple make the neck a true gem, while the 5-star tuners and a truss rod ensure professional-level performance.
Length 95 cm, scale length 67 cm, nut width 31 mm, head diameter 12"
The instrument is equipped with Nylgut strings and a new bridge. The body shows signs of wear and age, while the neck is in nearly mint condition. The banjo comes ready to play in a modern hard case.
